Lynnell Jones Jr., known as Felleanimated on tiktok is a black animator with over 1.5 million followers. In November Jones received a $50,000 dollar grant to develop a project under the guidance of Macro, a multiplatform media company that represents the voice and perspective of black people and persons of color. This grant was a part of tiktok’s effort to promote and support marginalized creators. Jones’ animation centers around a red sweatshirt wearing protagonist navigating life during the pandemic. In March of 2020 Jones introduced c-chan, the personification of covid-19 and the female antagonist. Initially she torments the hero, but their interactions blossom into something more.
