Lionforge is the animation company behind the Oscar winning film Hair Love directed by Matthew Cherry, and produced in partnership with Sony pictures animation. The short about a father trying to do his daughters hair for the first time featured the voice of Insecure star Issa Rae.
Lionforge is a subsidiary of Polarity Global Media, founded by David Steward with a mission to bring authentic content to a diverse global audience. Lionforge animation has an extensive library of projects and in July of 2021 they signed with Activist artist management who represent actors such as Ken Watanabe and David Alan Grier.
