GemGfx, a Trinidad and Tobago based animation studio is owned and operated by husband and wife team Everard and Dixie-Ann McBain.
In 2021 they released a trailer for their project Jumbie a story about a young girl who uses her misfortune to fight the evil she sees plaguing her land.
The trailer received over 300,000 views across GemGfx’s various social media channels, which lead to coverage by several prominent Trinidad and Tabago news and media outlets.
In the same year GemGfx was approached by award winning composer Mark Loquan to create the music video for “A Better Tomorrow” Performed by Terri Lyons Better Tomorrow is the first music video to combine anime style animation with calypso music.
